EdgeTech to Supply NOAA with Transponders

EdgeTech, USA, has been awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract from NOAA with a ceiling of USD2.5 million over five years, beginning June 2013. The contract to provide acoustic release transponders and associated equipment was awarded to EdgeTech by NOAA’s Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory (PMEL).

NOAA PMEL deploys hundreds of underwater moorings with oceanographic equipment and sensors every year. The EdgeTech 8242 acoustic releases (image), strategic equipment provided as part of this contract, are a part of many long-term underwater deployment packages.
