Fugro Geos' ADAM Breaks Records
ADAM, the Fugro GEOS ADCP (Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler) Data Acquisition and Management system, has now completed two years of continuous service. Since its release in 2004 the system has collected in excess of one million ensembles of ADCP data from over 100 deployments, over 300,000 wave data records and has over 200 registered users.
ADAM is an interactive web application providing users near real-time access to their measured current and wave data via the Internet. The thin-client architecture makes ADAM available with the minimum of effort, providing users with both graphical and tabular presentations of data, and the facility to download time series of raw current data in a standard format. Initially designed for the Gulf of Mexico, it’s now expanded into other global regions.
