Fugro Wins Order for ChartViewAIS Package from Port of Felixstowe

Fugro Survey Limited has secured an order from The Port of Felixstowe for installation and client specific development of ChartViewAIS technology.
ChartViewAIS has been developed by GeoSoft Solutions, a division of Fugro Survey Limited, based in Great Yarmouth, UK. The technology will enable the Port of Felixstowe to monitor, record, analyse and replay vessel Automatic Identification System (AIS) data in conjunction with hydrographic vector charts, ARCS charts and embedded third party datasets. The system will be deployed and utilised in the Port Control Tower and on the desks of identified port managers for the analysis of vessel movements. The arrival of Fugro’s ChartViewAIS technology will allow the Port of Felixstowe to pursue and better manage safety, security and vessel management issues and demands.
The total purchase includes a ChartViewAIS Logger, three seats of ChartViewAIS, onsite installation and training, and client specific software development. Intranet, browser based, viewing licenses are also currently being developed for deployment within the Port of Felixstowe.
