Gardline Geosciences Acquires Lankelma Andrews

Gardline Geosciences has acquired Lankelma Andrews to further strengthen its marine geotechnical services. It will now trade as Gardline Lankelma. Eric Zon, Lankelma’s existing Managing Director, has been appointed Managing Director of Gardline Geosciences to lead a single marine geotechnical force within the Gardline Marine Sciences Group.

For integrated survey solutions it will continue to work closely with other Group companies, using Gardline’s fleet of survey vessels, and vessels of opportunity. The company also plans to operate its own dedicated geotechnical vessel in the future.

Eric Zon comments: “This is an important step forward for all involved and will allow us to pool the excellent resources both companies have and move forward together into new and exciting areas.”

With experience gained in Australia, the Far East, North Sea, Sakhalin and West Africa, both on Gardline and third party vessels, Gardline Lankelma will offer worldwide geotechnics, in-house consultancy and services ranging from near shore to full ocean depth (down to 3000m).

Gardline Lankelma is a front runner in the development of the Deep Water Sampler, enabling the best quality samples of up to 25 metres to be taken. CPT’s of up to 40 metres can be performed with its deepwater cpt units. The company will have a pool of 10 cpt units as well as numerous vibrocorers and seabed sampling systems.

All existing employees already have a role within Gardline Lankelma and the company expects to expand, thus creating new opportunities and vacancies.
