High Precision Bathypack & Mini IPS
Valeport has launched two new products in their ocean engineering range: the Mini IPS and upgraded MIDAS Bathypack. Both products work together as a complete package or individually, and they are fitted with the new ±0.01% pressure sensor.
The Mini IPS (Intelligent Pressure Sensor) is a pressure sensor specifically designed for underwater applications in depths of up to 6,000m. With a choice of pressure ranges, the Mini IPS provides accurate depth data in real time. Its titanium housing and smaller size make it light, robust and easy to use, particularly on ROV’s or AUV’s. The miniIPS is also compatible with Valeport's new MIDAS BathyPack, as well as BathyLog software.
Valeport's MIDAS Bathypack has been re-engineered to include the ±0.01% pressure sensor to generate Sound Velocity and Density profiles from the highest accuracy depth and height data. It gathers depth data that is continually updated for density variations in the water column. The product is for applications requiring an ROV and uses an altimeter to determine distance from the seabed as well as making it perfect mathematically with correct formulae.
The simple top-end PC software, BathyLog, is free with the MIDAS Bathypack. It acts as the hub, profiling all the data gathered from the Bathypack and multiple miniIPS pressure sensors, resulting in a complete overview as one integrated sensor suite.
