Hydromea’s Diskdrive thrusters propel underwater innovation

Hydromea, a pioneering leader in subsea technology, has announced a significant advancement in underwater propulsion with the successful completion of a demanding pressure test on its deep-rated ultra-thin Diskdrive thrusters. This achievement signifies a monumental leap forward in the realm of underwater propulsion technology and solidifies Hydromea’s position at the forefront of innovation in the marine industry.

Conducted at the German certification lab Nautilus, the rigorous test subjected Hydromea’s Diskdrive thrusters to extreme conditions, simulating depths reaching an astounding six kilometres beneath the ocean surface. Remarkably, the thrusters withstood pressures of up to 600 bars with exceptional performance, effortlessly navigating the ‘descend’ phase. Notably, the thrusters demonstrated flawless operation, seamlessly initiating and halting every 50-bar increment, showcasing unparalleled reliability and precision.

This remarkable accomplishment places Hydromea’s Diskdrive thrusters in an elite league of underwater propulsion systems capable of withstanding the immense pressures of the deep ocean. By surpassing this critical milestone, Hydromea further cements its reputation as a trailblazer in robust subsea technology, offering unparalleled solutions for underwater exploration, research and industry applications.
