IMCA Annual Seminar 2004

The IMCA Annual Seminar 2004 will be held on 2-3 December at the Regent Hotel in Singapore.
For the first time, the IMCA Annual Seminar is being organised by all four IMCA divisions - Marine, Diving, Offshore Survey and Remote Systems & ROV, with a programme reflecting the diverse range of operations carried out within the marine contracting industry but with common interest reflected in every included theme.
The seminar will bring together engineers, managers, clients, offshore personnel, consultants, equipment manufacturers and others from around the global industry.
The seminar format includes formal presentations, with short question-and-answer sessions after each speaker, topical subject workshops, informal receptions and dinners, plus an associated exhibition by the members of IMCA who supply the specialist vessel industry.
All four IMCA technical divisions are involved in the organisation of the technical programme for this year’s Annual Seminar at which there will be plenary sessions on contracting strategies, piracy, the Prestige wreck survey, and quality.
There will be Marine/ROV/Survey sessions looking at operational issues including the planned IMCA FMEA management guide; DP incidents and annual trials; training-related issues; development in DGPS systems; and technical issues and new developments. The diving sessions will include subsea isolations for divers’ intrusive work; hyperbaric welding; diving safety, diver training and competence, FMEAs for diving equipment; and hazardous marine life in the Asia-Pacific region.
