ISO 9001 Approval for C-Map

In May 2003 Det norske Veritas approved the C-MAP Norway AS quality system to standard NS-EN ISO 9001: 2000. The approval is valid for:

• Production, sales and distribution of C-MAP and authorised electronic chart and weather information to the marine industry
  
• Maintenance and expansion of the global physical and real-time distribution network
  
• Support and development of technology to OEM partners

The production of digital charts within the C-MAP Group had previously been type approved to ISO 9002 and C-MAP Norway has had Det norske Veritas type approve a software compiler used for the compression and protection of chart data. C-MAP Norway was the first company to have their distribution service and technology type approved by Det norske Veritas.
