IXSEA Demonstrates Technology Integration

IXSEA will have a strong presence at the Oceanology International 2010 exhibition to be held at the Excel Centre in London, UK, to be held from 9th to 11th March. Visitors to the IXSEA stand (F100) will appreciate the value that this integration creates. A GAPS portable and robust global acoustic positioning system at the centre of the stand will be linked on one side to a SHADOWS high-performance mapping sonar system and on the other to an ROV equipped with a RAMSES hybrid acoustic positioning system and a ROVINS subsea inertial navigation system.

Equally apparent to visitors will be the deep commitment to research and development displayed by IXSEA over the past ten years. Sustained investment in new technology during this period has left the company with a clear technological advantage over its competitors and has led to a consistent record of business growth.

Underpinning everything that IXSEA does is an appreciation of the vital role that navigation and positioning technology plays in its customers' theatres of operation. And although tremendous advances have been made in this area, particularly in recent years, the company is acutely aware of the challenges that remain and the opportunities that still exist to improve the fortunes of companies involved in subsea investigation, exploration and exploitation.

IXSEA is proud of being a pioneer in the fundamental technology behind modern navigation and positioning. But there is more to come from the people for whom navigation and positioning remain the priorities.

"The strength of our product range is that we take the best of acoustic and inertial technology and combine them into a very robust, flexible and cost-effective solution. That is what we are aiming to demonstrate with our exhibition stand at Oi10," said David Cunningham, IXSEA's Geoscience Director.
