Ixsea Opens Office in Aberdeen

Due to Ixsea's growth in the offshore market, the company has appointed Paul Rennie as Technical Sales Manager based in the new Ixsea office in Aberdeen, Scotland. Paul Rennie will develop and increase Ixsea’s market share in the offshore survey sector, providing both 'off-the-shelf' and custom built solutions. Additionally, Paul will be providing technical support for Aberdeen and offshore customers. Paul holds a Higher National Certificate in Electronic Engineering and previously worked in shore based technical support and later in offshore survey engineering with Fugro Survey. Subsequently becoming freelance, Paul spent eight years as a survey engineer working on a wide variety of offshore projects and using an extensive range of equipment and software including Ixsea's OCTANS and GAPS systems. To serve the defense market in the UK, Ixsea hired Nick Goodwin. He also will support existing clients in scientific insitutions in the UK and Ireland. Mr Goodwin holds a degree in Environmental Science from the University of Chichester and served in the Royal Navy for six years. Upon leaving the Navy, he worked as an offshore field engineer before moving into application and equipment sales.
