MIDAS Sales Success for Saderet
Saderet Ltd reports good sales of its Valeport MIDAS Surveyor since market launch in June 2003. The MIDAS Surveyor is a complete, portable, dual-frequency data acquisition system which features an integral DGPS receiver, rechargeable power source and inputs for heading, sound velocity, heave and external fix. The unit logs all data for subsequent downloading or can output in real-time to third-party software.
Early customers included British Waterways, who will use the system for canal survey work. Survicom has also purchased a system for coastal and estuary surveys in Nigeria and Tower Hydrographics are using it in conjunction with a CSI Vector DGPS compass system for reservoir siltation monitoring.
Its small size makes the system suited for fast mobilisation and operation on very small craft. The MIDAS Surveyor is supplied in two cases, complete with all necessary transducers, cables, fixtures and fittings.
