MMT to Present Survey ROV at Hydro14

The Hydrographic Society UK is hosting a three-day conference and trade show, Hydro14, at the Aberdeen Exhibition & Convention Centre (AECC) in Aberdeen, UK, from 28 to 30 of October 2014. MMT will be represented at Stand 51. Together with Norwegian partners Reach Subsea, MMT has developed and recently started production of a new-generation survey ROV, named Surveyor Interceptor, which is specially designed for pipeline inspection and seabed surveys.

MMT has considerable experience of hydrographic surveying and 3D modelling of the seabed. It has held and currently hold long-term Maritime & Coastguard Agency contracts for hydrographic surveys in the United Kingdom for the last 9 years and several large-scale hydrographic surveys for the Swedish, Finnish and Norwegian Maritime Administrations. It has also conducted hydrographic surveys worldwide especially in remote locations.

Today MMT is a supplier of survey methodologies for cable and pipeline detection and burial assessments of cables and pipelines. Constantly seeking for new cost effective methods, the latest method includes a new underwater utility survey system that brings the power of model-based processing to cable and pipeline surveys. MMT believes that this, together with high-resolution bathymetric, geophysical and geotechnical data, mitigate risk and reduce cost during a cable installation or during maintenance of offshore cables and pipelines.

MMT is also part of the development of a new, fast, specialised survey ROV. The new ROV will provide MMT´s clients with improved, accurate data to a much higher speed resulting in substantially better inspection quality at a much reduced price.
