More Fansweep for German Waterways Authority

Atlas Hydrographic in Bremen has received an order from the Federal German Waterways Authority for an additional 200kHz Fansweep 20 shallow-water multi-beam system to be used by its regional office at Lauenburg for inland waterway surveys from the beginning of 2006. This is the fifth Fansweep 20 system to be commissioned by the Authority, complementing others already in service aboard launches at Tönning, Bremen, Bremerhaven and Wilhelmshaven. The new system, which combines bathymetric measurement and side-scan imaging functions while providing coverage of up to twelve times vertical water depth, is being supplied together with an Octans motion sensor and EIVA software for acquisition and editing of data.
