Nautronix Diver Communications

Nautronix is experiencing a resurgence in the sale of its diver communication systems. The latest order from Sealion Shipping Ltd, Managers of the Toisa Limited fleet, for a DSP (Digital Signal Processor) Helium Unscrambler and Communications System follows twelve major orders in the last 6 months.

Nautronix (Helle) diver communication systems are core products for the company and have had a presence in the market for over twenty five years, originally under the Helle brand, providing communication solutions for a wide range of commercial diving requirements to suit both air and mixed gas diving. The DSP Unscramblers are designed and built to meet the stringent NORSOK Standards for Manned Underwater Operations.

This order from Sealion is for DSP systems to be installed onboard one of their two new DSV’s (Dive Support Vessel), currently known as Hull 712. The Nautronix DSP utilises digital signaling offering enhanced intelligibility compared to analogue systems. The full system provides a complete communication and entertainment network, allowing links to deck personnel, medical staff, telephone lines etc. As a twin bell vessel the order includes two dive control and three saturation control units.
