Navigation Sounder from SAM Electronics
Sam Electronics has introduced SAM 4620, a compact type-approved IMO-compliant navigation echosounder. It can be used in single or dual-channel mode in depths between 5 and 1,000m. Depth displays can be in either fathoms or feet. TFT displays present latitude/longitude and speed data, which can be annotated with date and time when connected to a GPS-unit. Data can be transferred to EC-DIS, VDR and other sensors via RS232C and RS422 interfaces. Echograms can be changed in three stages for extended display intervals without affecting current readings. Stored data is displayed both graphically and digitally and can be downloaded to a PC for offline processing and analysis. The non-volatile memory can store up to 24 hours data.
