New Australian HO Director

Robert Ward has been promoted to the rank of Captain and appointed Director of Hydrographic Operations and Capability at the Australian Hydrographic Office and Deputy Commander of the NavyÕs Hydrographic, Oceanographic and Meteorological Force Element Group (HMFEG). Captain Bruce Kafer continues as Hydrographer of Australia and HMFEG Commander. Captain Robert Ward will, in addition to his new duties, retain overall responsibility for International Relations and represent Australia on a number of IHO and other international bodies.
