New GITC Web-sites
GITC bv, publisher of Hydro international and the International Hydrographic have launched a new, online hydrographic and oceanographic marketplace called www. ocean-source.com. Another new site, www.hydro-international.com will be launched at the same time. The new sites are to be officially introduced during OI 2004.
www.hydro-international.com is the online version of this magazine. The site will be constantly updated with latest news from the hydrographic surveying business. It will also present job listings, supply-and-demand and banner advertising opportunities.
www.ocean-source.com is an online marketplace and that will catalogue the variety of services, hardware and software products available in the hydrographic and oceanographic industry. In other words, it will offer the only online de facto reference guide for the entire international hydrographic community. Entries will be sorted into four chapters entitled Survey Planning, Survey Operations, Software and Company Details.
The site entitled www.ocean-source.com provides the user with descriptive information on any entry, including photograph or illustration. Where relevant, basic information covering dimension, equipment, weight and year of first release are also included. A visitor will be able to find any company’s products simply by entering manufacturer or equipment criteria.
Whether participant or major player in the hydrographic business you will, of course, wish your company and its products to appear in this directory and thus create extra traffic to your web-site.
