New ICS NAV5plus

McMurdo has launched the new ICS NAV5plus that exceeds GMDSS NAVTEX requirements and is suitable for fitting to vessels wishing to comply with the SOLAS convention. The ICS NAV5plus has dual channel reception as a standard feature. This allows simultaneous monitoring of both NAVTEX frequencies (518 kHz and 490 kHz) without the user needing to change channels. The ICS NAV5plus is reliable, rugged and compact. It is designed to directly support remote active and passive NAVTEX antenna types. Developed for IMO GMDSS fitting, the ICS NAV5plus includes all the facilities required for receiving and printing NAVTEX messages. In addition, it has an RS422 data output suitable for connection to integrated bridge or PC charting systems. The new ICS NAV5plus will be the first commercial ICS product to feature the new McMurdo corporate image and styling.
