New President and COO Schilling Robotics

John Wetzel has joined Schilling Robotics as President and COO, responsible for formulating and executing the company’s operational and organisational development plans. His career has included a variety of positions in high-technology companies and this breadth of experience will be important as Schilling Robotics seeks to expand its markets to include virtually any type of remotely controlled underwater equipment.
Over the last twenty years, Mr Wetzel has served as CEO for several companies that make engineered products in the electronics, aerospace, and computer industries. These companies have ranged in size from startups to firms with US$ 50 million in sales. He has also held positions at Hewlett-Packard and Lear Siegler in sales, product marketing, and engineering. While at Hewlett-Packard he provided precision instrumentation for reservoir engineering in the oil and gas industry.
With the arrival of Mr Wetzel, some management functions at Schilling Robotics have been reorganised.
Randy Dusseau has been promoted to VP of Customer Service, and plans to initially focus on making internal customer service processes as efficient and accurate as possible. Future plans include upgrading the Schilling Robotics training programme to include additional and more varied offerings.
Some functions in the new company have been split along product lines, with Wes Gerriets serving as VP of Sales and Marketing, Manipulator Products and Jason Stanley as VP of Sales and Marketing, Remote Systems.
