New Thales Malaysian Jv

Thales GeoSolutions Sdn. Bhd. has formed a new joint venture with a Bumiputera company servicing the petroleum industry in Malaysia, Orogenic Holdings Sdn. Bhd. The new joint venture will trade under the name Orogenic Thales GeoSolutions Sdn. Bhd. Established in January 2003, the company employs 33 staff, of which 80 per cent are field specialists. The new joint venture was awarded its Petronas Licence in April and purchased an array of positioning and surveying equipment, including a Thales workclass Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) in order to meet its expanding business demands.
