Noordhoek Purchases Focus-2 ROTV System
Noordhoek is taking delivery of a MacArtney Focus – 2 ROTV system to complement the existing fleet of survey platforms and ROV’s. The ROTV will enable Noordhoek Offshore to provide a broader range of additional services to the market. The system will be delivered with a complete spare towed body (including all the interfacing options). Noordhoek will be offering the ROTV for inspection type assignments and for pre-lay route surveys and in general, thus collecting high resolution geophysical data. The configuration has been designed to be deployed both from one of the Noordhoek operated fleet of vessels or from any other suitable vessel. The ROTV System is equipped with Multi Beam Echo Sounder Interface, Edgetech Digital Side Scan Sonar system, Sub Bottom Profiler Interface, Ring Laser Gyro Interface, Motion Sensor Interface, Bathymetry and Altimeter Interface, Sonar and Camera Interfaces, Dedicated winch, Full Multiplexing facility and Multiple channel communication to surface. In addition to the standard layout of the vehicle, Noordhoek can provide all the industry standard sensors as an option to meet the most demanding project requirement. The first assignment for the vehicle is a pipeline inspection project between Ireland and UK.
