Officials for IMCA's Central & South America Section

The first Chairman and Vice Chairman for the Central & South America Section of the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) have been elected. Giorgio Martelli from Saipem is Chairman of the Section and Gilles Lafaye from Acergy is its Vice Chairman.

The new section, formed in 2009 and host of the IMCA Annual Seminar in Rio de Janeiro in November 2009, provides a forum for members to address local issues, network and both learn about and contribute to the association's global work programme.

The Central & South America Section holds quarterly meetings for members to discuss IMCA's global work and local issues, together with guest presentations on a wide variety of topics relevant to those active in the region. The next section meeting is being held 7th April at the Windsor Barra Hotel, Rio de Janeiro where the section's current and future work programme will be discussed. All members are welcome and so too are guest organisations in the marine contracting supply chain. Contact Claudine Bleza on +44 (0)20 7824 5520 for further information on the meeting or to register to attend.
