OI06 - An Ocean Of Opportunity

Organisers of gathering are predicting that next year's show will be the biggest and best yet, following the outstanding success of Oi2004 and record pre-bookings for the next event.
Thousands of leading individuals and hundreds of companies and organisations are once again expected to converge on London to attend Oi06. Just over a year away (OI06 will be held in March 2006), participants are being urged to register their interest sooner rather than later. Already more than 4500m2 nett exhibit space has been contracted by more than 350 exhibitors.
This premier exhibition and conference will be held at the ExCeL (Exhibition Centre London) in Docklands, hard by the Thames and the Royal Victoria Dock. Scheduled for 21-23 March 2006.
Already confirmed as exhibitors for next year are companies including Fugro, QinetiQ, Thales and Kongsberg Maritime amongst many others; national pavilions herald from France, Germany and Netherlands indicating that the show remains at the top of the list of 'must attend' events by all users of the marine environment and serves an important role in showcasing the cutting-edge technologies and advancing the sciences related to the future of our global ocean planet.
The Oi06 conference is entitled 'The Global Ocean Forum', with the conference committee being chaired by Dr Richard Spinrad, Assistant Administrator of NOAA's National Ocean Service.
Maintaining Oi's pro-active approach, next year's event will further expand the event's relevance to the wider ocean and environmental community through the hosting of even more related meetings and events. This will include, for the first time, the Spill 06 Exhibition and the Interspill 2006 conference, both to take place alongside Oi06 at ExCel. More details on this will be released shortly.
Also to be featured will be maritime defence and security, with the event partnering with Jane's Information Group to run an international maritime homeland security conference alongside Oi06.
