Outfall Pipe for Ghana

Nutec West Africa Ltd and UK partners UTEC have secured a contract to install a 2km outfall pipe as part of the US$ 95 million Kolre Lagoon Ecological Restoration Project in Ghana. The 4-month project will call on all group core disciplines: diving, construction and IRM, and survey & marine project management. MV Goosander, permanently stationed in Sekondi Ghana, will be key to this project, providing a base for the installation of more than five hundred 5-tonne concrete weights, through to final pipeline installation.
MV Goosander is permanently mobilised with complete, dive, survey, geotechnical sampling and ROV systems, from 1,000m-rated ROVs to IMCA-accredited dive suites, to towed survey arrays, drop and vibrocore and 25kn CPT. The vessel has already completed many successful marine survey contracts and is well place to service the West African Oil Belt.
