Par Sensors

Satlantic have introduced a new line of sensors to measure Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR). A PAR sensor measures radiation from 400 - 700 nm giving an integrated value of light across this range in units of umol photons*m^-2*s^-1.

Such a sensor is widely used by oceanographers and limnologists who study primary productivity or phytoplankton physiology in the field or in the laboratory. Satlantic PAR Sensors are currently available in 4 types.
