Port of Brisbane Corporation Purchases Reson Multibeam Echosounding Equipment

The Port of Brisbane Corporation has recently upgraded their hydrographic surveying capability with a Reson Seabat 8125, POS MV V4 and QINSy data collection and reduction software. The equipment has been installed on their 16m mono hull vessel Jim Peel and results to date have been excellent. To complement this package PBC has also invested in Terramodel and Fledermaus visualisation software. The system was put to good use during a recent dredging campaign in Moreton Bay involving the Boskalis dredger Cornelus Zanen deepening a section of the entrance channel from 14m to 15m.
