Port of Melbourne Long Range Kinematic Network Extended

Additional Aquarius reference station and field receivers of Sagem Australasia support the Port of Melbourne extension of their Long Range Kinematic (LRK) Reference Station Network. A station at Rye, on thee south eastern side of Port Philip Bayu, has been added to support among other projects, the soon to begin channel deeping program. It joins Williamtown and Murray Tower, providing LRK coverage up to 50 kms from base and offering redundant corrections over the southern end of the bay. New firmware installed on the remote Aquarius units can now simultaneously maintain LRK from two stations, providing full redundancy in applications such as hydrographic surveying and dredging.
