Ralph Rayner Joins OSIL Board

UK-based OSIL, supplier of marine scientific systems, has appointed Dr Ralph Rayner as a Non-Executive Director. Dr Rayner is Managing Director of Fugro GEOS and holds a number of other executive positions, including Chair of the UK Marine Information Council (UKMIC). He plays an active role in the marine science and technology community through membership of international committees and publication of articles and papers.

OSIL Appointed Distributor Observator Instruments
OSIL has been appointed as a distributor for Netherlands-based Observator Instruments BV. OSIL will be distributing the full range of this company’s meteorological instruments in the UK. Observator meteorological instruments include sensors for the measurement of wind, temperature, humidity, barometric pressure and visibility, together with data loggers and software. A wide range of high-precision instruments is available for all environments, including inland, coastal and offshore locations.

European Distributors Required
OSIL has also announced that is seeking distributors across Europe for the HydroCamel, a new Automated Submersible Water Sampler. Launched earlier in the year, the HydroCamel is capable of automatically collecting up to twenty samples per deployment (up to 3litres volume). The samples can then be used for ground truthing turbidity studies, general chemical or biological analysis. The HydroCamel can be deployed in depths of up to 70metres for a month at a time and is suitable for use in all water environments. OSIL is therefore looking for European distributors in sectors including freshwater, marine, wastewater and drinking water.
