REMUS/HUGIN AUV Users Conference Programme Available
Norway-headquartered Kongsberg Maritime and its US subsidiary Hydroid have announced programme details of their AUV Users Conference to be held at the Villa Marigola in Lerici, Italy, from 14 to 17 October 2013. The conference is open to users of Kongsberg and Hydroid AUVs and those interested in learning more about AUV technology. The programme features three days of presentations from marine technology experts and AUV industry leaders.
Topics and speakers at the AUV Users Conference will include:

- Counter IED Lessons for Mine Countermeasures - Tom Reynolds, Hydroid

- Collaborative Operations with AUVs and ROVs – Doug Horner, US Naval Post-Graduate School

The 2013 event follows the REMUS/HUGIN user conference in October 2010. That conference in San Diego (USA) brought together nearly 100 AUV users from nine countries to discuss topics including the 2009 search for Amelia Earheart’s plane and emerging AUV applications such as pipeline inspection and environmental monitoring.
