Reunion at Book Signing

Rear Admiral Steve Ritchie, former Hydrographer of the Navy (1966-1971) was present to sign his latest book, As it Was - Highlights of Hydrographic History, on the Admiralty Charts stand at the Southampton Boat Show. This richly illustrated book results from columns that Steve has been contributing to the magazine Hydro international for the last six years. The columns cover the whole history of hydrography, from the first century AD up until the present day. The book signing provided Steve Ritchie with an opportunity to catch up with a fellow former hydrographer, John Clarke, now Executive of the British Marine Federation.
