Royal Netherlands Navy Order Two REMUS AUVs

Hydroid Inc. announced that they have received an order from the Royal Netherlands Navy, for two REMUS Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) systems.
After successful NATO trials in the port of Rotterdam, the Royal Netherlands Navy has acquired two vehicles for national use. Upon delivery these vehicles will follow a broad introduction program into the Royal Netherlands Navy.
During this introduction and evaluation phase a wide range of missions will be executed.
With this procurement, the Royal Netherlands Navy enters the growing list of AUV users while simultaneously broadening its capabilities.
Hydroid Inc. holds the exclusive license from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution for the manufacture and further development of the REMUS Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) technology.
