SeaBat Users Conference and Demonstration in Shanghai

RESON held a SeaBat Conference and Demonstration in Shanghai during the recent Zheng He Ocean Voyages Exhibition and International Marine Expo in early July.
The Expo was organized by the State Oceanic Administration (SOA) with support from the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government to honor the 600th anniversary of the first ocean voyage of Zheng He, China’s pioneer in maritime exploration.
RESON products and literature were showcased in a booth in Shanghai’s Exhibition Center, a venue for national and international activities. Exhibitors from around the world gathered for a week to promote their products to a huge number of customers and the general public.
On the fourth day of the Expo, RESON conducted a SeaBat Users Conference for a number of participants from around China, including the Maritime Safety Administration (MSA), the Guangzhou Second Marine Exploration Corp. and Harbin Engineering University. Items covered included an Acoustic Theory lecture by Charles Brennan, a session on SeaBat Operations Training, and an introduction to RESON’s new line of Forward Looking and Multibeam Echosounders - the SeaBat 7000 series.
At the request of customers, RESON also held a demonstration of its SeaBat 8125 sonar on the Huang Pu River, using an MSA vessel.
