Simrad Autopilot Wins NMEA Award
The Simrad AP25 Series Virtual Feedback Autopilot has received the Best Autopilot award at the 2006 National Marine Electronics (NMEA) convention. Simrad also received a Second Place Award in the broadly defined Marine Specialty Category, for its WR20 RemoteCommander. In addition to receiving widespread media coverage in North America and around the globe, the WR20 was honored with the prestigious 2006 NMMA Innovation Award at the Miami International Boat Show earlier this year. Simrad also put on a successful, well attended SimNet seminar at the 2006 IBEX (International Boatbuilders Exhibition and Conference) show in Miami (FL, USA). Boat manufacturers, dealers and others in the marine industry visited the show to learn about the command and control capabilities of Simrad's NMEA 2000-based SimNet system.
