Sonsub Extends Charter of DP Reel

Sonsub has extended the already long term charter of the vessel DP Reel until end of 2009 with further options. The vessel has been successfully utilised in recent months in West Africa and has proved itself in every field, from ROV Survey to IRM and Subsea Construction. Sonsub sees West Africa, the Mediterranean and the Middle East as the main area of play for this asset. This extension, together with the earlier announcement of the charter of the Bourbon Trieste, shows Sonsub's long term commitment to the Mediterranean and West African subsea and deepwater markets. The DP Reel is presently contracted to Total E&P Angola for IRM work on the Dalia Field and carries onboard two deepwater work-class ROV systems.
