Spanish Contract for Reson

ATZI-Tecnalia a Spanish Research Institute has awarded RESON to supply a full turn key survey system that include the Reson new generation high resolution multi-beam system SeaBat 7125 and PDS2000 Software Package. ATZI-Tecnalia is involved in monitoring the Basque coastal region (Spain) and the Multibeam system will be used to make detailed studies of the of the coastal erosion and perform archaeological study in the area.
The system is part of the new SeaBat 7000 Series, which has been designed to incorporate several state-of-the-art technologies, including:
-true time-delay beam forming
-advanced bottom detection with improved accuracy
-exceptionally low-noise receivers with increased dynamic range
-multi-ping technology that provides 100% bottom coverage at high vessel speeds and in rough sea states
-CW and FM pulse technology in order to provide both long range and high resolution performance.
The SeaBat 7125 is a single and/or dual frequency (200/400kHz) multi-beam echosounder. In the 200kHz configuration, the receiver covers a 130º swath, with a typical range of 500m. In the 400kHz configuration, the receiver covers a 130º swath, with ultra high resolution and a typical range of 200m. The SeaBat 7125 receiver sonar head design provides increased bandwidth, improved dynamic range and noise immunity over earlier models. The high resolution of the system gives the user improved performance in applications such as coastal, archaeological and environmental surveys, detailed cable and pipeline monitoring etc.
