Subsea Construction Services

A joint venture company offering a comprehensive range of onshore and offshore construction services to subsea cable operators in the Middle East has been launched by Abu Dhabi-based Controls and Applications Emirates (CAE) and the UK's Offshore Marine Management (OMM). Called CAOMM, the joint venture will work with clients in the region's oil and gas, utilities and telecoms industries.

The new joint venture will capitalise on CAE's position as the United Arab Emirates leading engineering, procurement and construction contractor and OMM's international experience as a marine solutions management company. CAOMM has opened an office in the strategic oil and gas port of Abu Dhabi and appointed a new General Manager, Rob Warner.

Both CAE and OMM bring the joint venture significant know-how and extensive technical expertise in construction and subsea-related services covering all the market sectors targeted by CAOMM. The owner companies' expertise is supported by reputations for delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
CAE Managing Director, Carlos Marques, said that the synergies between the two companies worked as a catalyst to ensure the smooth establishment of the joint venture.

OMM's Managing Director, Rob Grimmond said that this joint venture represents a strategically important step into the Middle East region for the company.
