Thales Skyfix-XP for Veritas

Thales GeoSolutions and Veritas Geophysical Corporation have agreed a two-year contract for the exclusive world-wide provision of Thales SkyFix-XP satellite differential global positioning system (SDGPS) and the Thales SkyFix DGPS. This is the first long-term contract of its kind to be signed for the new generation of Thales SkyFix-XP positioning and navigation services. Worth up to US$ 2.7 million and extending well into 2005, this contract binds Thales to the provision of positioning and navigation services to the Veritas Geophysical Corporation global fleet of seismic survey vessels. These vessels, operated out of Houston, Texas, Crawley, UK and Singapore, offer the oil and gas industry geophysical and positioning capabilities. This contract extends the contiguous period during which Thales GeoSolutions will be the exclusive positioning provider for Veritas to some five years, with immediate effect.
