Three More Distribution Contracts for HydroConsult

HydroConsult has been appointed Benelux distributor for Gavia, the Islandic manufacturer of modular built AUV's. This innovative survey tool has been designed for a wide variety of survey and surveillance tasks and can carry a series of sensors. Data are transmitted regularly via global iridium satellite link and high speed wireless LAN. Endurance of the AUV can be stretched by adding modular power packs and launching and recovery is easy and can be done from shore or small boat.
Also, HydroConsult became Benelux distributor for OceanTools, the Scottish manufacturer of high quality survey tools such as fibre-optic gyros, profilers, scanners, altimeters, video overlays and the like. At very competitive prices, OceanTools expect to get a fair share of the market in the Benelux. It is furthermore planned to set up a rental pool in the Netherlands at HydroConsult, who are presently expanding their facilities in Groot Ammers for this purpose.
A third manufacturer which will be represented by HydroConsult is AC-CESS, also of Aberdeen, Scotland. This company is the designer and builder of probably the smallest, most versatile hand-held ROV commercially available on the market. The unit with all its accessories fits in a small pelican case and can be deployed in minutes. It can be used for all types of visual inspections in lakes and harbours, near ships and quaysides and has been used by the Scottish Authorities to inspect the waters for undesired objects around the conference facilities of the G8 meeting in July 2005.
