Transient Analysis Course in Brazil

Haestad Methods hosted a transient analysis training courses to date. The training program, which was held in Sao Paulo, Brazil on 3-4 June, was designed to educate water professionals on the causes of these damaging phenomena and how to design protective measures using Haestad Methods' HAMMER transient analysis software.
Participants were taught participants how to: (1) identify critical points in a system requiring surge protection; (2) avoid costly pipe breaks and service interruptions; (3) reduce wear and tear on infrastructure; (4) map the risk of contamination due to short-lived subatmospheric or low pressures; (5) correlate break records to transient results; and (6) pre-plan maintenance on reservoirs and tanks.
