TRIAXIS Mini Directional Wave Buoys for USMC

AXYS Technologies Inc. has won a contract from the United States Marine Corps (USMC) for the supply of two small and lightweight directional wave-monitoring buoys. The new buoys, called TRIAXYS Mini, have been designed to provide highly accurate and reliable wave data while being easy to deploy on short-term USMC assignments. The TRIAXYS Mini weighs in at 60kg, is 0.60 metres in diameter and can easily be deployed by two people from a variety of vessels. The buoy is powered by a series of lithium battery packs. The TRIAXYS Mini gives USMC and clients worldwide a smaller and lighter wave buoy option.
