UKHO Turns up the Heat on ECDIS
The UK Hydrographic Office (UKHO) is embarking on a new project to further develop the capability of both its ENC and ECDIS electronic chart services.
This project comes hot on the heels of the International Partnering Programme, which facilitated greater co-operation between official data providers.
As more international data comes on stream and the customer base expands rapidly, the UKHO is future-proofing its ability to deliver ENCs directly into the hands of the mariner as efficiently as possible.
The programme will enhance the delivery of ENC data by facilitating faster turnaround times and speedier updating whilst being able to guarantee the integrity and security of contributing nations’ data.
