Upgrade to Seamap GunLink 2000
Seamap has recently completed the installation and commissioning of a new GunLink 2000 Hydrophone Acquisition and Gun Control System onboard the SR/V Verritas Vantage in the Gulf of Mexico; the commission was carried out for Veritas Geophysical Corporation. The GunLink is the first phase of a Seamap range of new-generation hydrophone acquisition and gun control systems providing high-resolution monitoring of up to 512 hydrophones and enhanced timing control of up to 256 seismic guns. The system incorporates an intuitive dual screen display and Seamap Voice Alert technology, which announces detected timing variances and status messages through a set of speakers. The SR/V Veritas Vantage is operated by Veritas Geophysical Corporation and is fully equipped with a suite of the latest seismic and survey system.
