Weather-critical Planner

ARGOSS has launched a new service to support planning of weather-critical operations. For tendering and planning of operations at sea you need to know the feasibility of your operation as well as the risks associated with the operation. Weather (waves and wind) is an important factor to consider; costs may increase significantly while waiting for workable conditions. ARGOSS can support definition of operation criteria for workable conditions and assess the probabilities of limiting conditions in relation to these defined criteria using quality-checked, in-house global wave and wind measurements, global satellite-corrected wave hindcast models and expertise in climate and risk assessment. If needed, analysis may also be executed on client datasets. Criteria for workable conditions can be set as a simple limit on, for example, significant wave height or wind speed, but also as more complex constraints involving wave periods, ship motions or other parameters that constrain an operation.
