Merrick & Company Awarded LIDAR Contract

Merrick & Company was awarded a US$345,000 contract to deliver raw and processed LIDAR data, 2-foot contours, and a DEM for 1650 square miles of Stearns County, Minnesota and a small portion of two neighboring counties, Sherburne and Benton. The project is funded by Stearns County, seven local municipalities, a watershed district, and a soil and water conservation district. South West Pacific Survey with Airborne Laser Bathymetry

Fugro has commissioned an additional airborne laser bathymetry system to underpin its development and application of bathymetric Lidar technology. The combined Fugro LADS Mk3 and Riegl VQ-820-G systems provide seamless measurements and mapping of nearshore and shallow-water environments. The increased capability will enable Fugro to deliver simultaneous topographic and bathymetric surveys in multiple geographical areas. Fugro’s Airborne Technology Deployed in Response to New Zealand Earthquake

Fugro’s LADS technology is being deployed in New Zealand to assist in relief efforts following the damaging 7.9 magnitude earthquake near Christchurch on 14 November 2016. Multi-client Airborne Gravity & Magnetic Survey offshore South Africa

CGG has announced that it will commence a multi-client airborne gravity and magnetic survey offshore South Africa. The Petroleum Agency of South Africa (PASA) has authorised the programme which will extend across two blocks totalling approximately 78,000 line kilometres. The survey areas are located offshore Cape Agulhas (West Bredasdorp area) and offshore Durban (Eastern Margin area). Data acquisition will commence in January 2016 and is anticipated to take four months utilising specialised geophysical survey aircraft. Northern Airborne Technology C-MAP CM-93 Licensed

Northern Airborne Technology (NAT) has been licensed by C-MAP to use its ECS and CM-93 Edition 3 database. The system, called NAT-ECS, is an industrialised touch screen PC/display combo unit with a bright 15" LCD screen. Taking advantage of the power and simplicity of C-MAP ECS, the NAT-ECS provides all of the features and functionality of an ECDIS system, integrating onboard sensors such as ARPA, AIS and depth, as well as any other onboard sensors. CGG Concludes Takeover of Fugro Geosciences' Airborne Activities

CGG (France) has received the main administrative authorisations allowing the company to conclude its acquisition of Fugro Geoscience’s airborne activities. Certain administrative actions are still to be completed, but these do not impact business continuity and are expected to be finalised shortly. The Airborne acquisition completes the final stage in CGG’s successful acquisition and integration of Fugro Geoscience.
