Video Introducing EMODnet
The European Marine Data and Observation Network (EMODnet) consists of more than 100 organisations assembling marine data, products and metadata to make these fragmented resources more available to public and private users relying on quality-assured, standardised and harmonised marine data which are interoperable and free of restrictions on use. The organisation has created a video to illustrate its work.
The video highlights the importance of sea and coastal observations and data for a range of applications and users, illustrates the process of collecting, processing, storing and making available marine data, and the need to embed this process in an interoperable pan-European sharing framework.
